Pet care experience
Hello :) My name is Abril, I’m 23 years old and I’ve been fostering animals for about 3 years now. I work with an all volunteer foster group based in Illinois & Indiana. My most expertise is with cats and small creatures (hamsters,bunnies,etc…). I have experience caring for the youngest to oldest cats & loved every minute of it. Although I may not have lots of experience fostering dogs I care for them as much as I do with my usual fosters. I had a family dog growing up and was often left in charge of her aka walks, showers, feedings & such. I hope you’ll consider me to take care of your fur babies! Thanks

Abril has taken care of both of my dogs and my cat, I work long days so I had to hire a dog sitter to take care of my pets and she has proven to be the best for my pets. They love her and she takes really good care of them, takes the dogs on walks, feeds them, and plays with them all the time. She’s always available when I need her to take care of them and would recommend her to anyone.

My care for them in my clients house would depend on the client, let me know if you’d like me to do certain activites, certain feeding times, certain walk times, etc… At my home I’d care for them as if they were my own, if they’re not comfortable around other animals I’d have no problem setting up their own little area they can feel comfortable in.

A typical day
We can do whatever activity the pet prefers! For walks, I live right by a library with a huge trail & would love to get some exercise for both me & the pet :) If it’s an indoor pet, I would love to play stimulating activities with them. My own cats enjoy putting treats in a mold & trying to sniff them out.

I work a full time 9-5 job, 5 days a week. Besides that I spend most of my free time fostering my animals & attending adoption events with them. I will most definitely make time for you & your pet.
