I've worked with animals all my life from farm animals to cats and dogs of all kinds. I have a passion for caring for them and 10+ years of experience in dog walking and overnight stays. I have helped families train their new puppies, and have cared for sick/elderly pets, including administering medications as well as any extra care they may need (bathing, special feeding needs etc.)

My dog Rosie loved Abigale. Great communication with lots of pictures. She texted if she had a question or concern which makes me even more confident leaving Rosie with her. We will definitely be using Abigale again.
Abigale does an amazing job when it comes to taking care of pets. She took care of my dog Onyx on several occasions and always went above and beyond in his care. She's very professional with her communication and you can tell that she has a huge passion for the animals that she takes care of. My dog is always very excited to see her and that speaks volume to the amount of care she puts into her job.
Abigale is an amazing pet sitter for our kitty cat. She is experienced with cats and was considerate of our cats special needs and habits. We've frequently hired Abigale for multi-day sittings including overnight and she was respectful of our home and kept us updated on our cat while we were away.

I am very conscientious of the care and safety I provide to pets as well as their homes. I never let dogs off leash unless specifically given the go ahead from their family provided they are in their own fenced in yard and I know for certain it is safe to do so. When I take dogs for walks I always bring water, treats and bags, so that I am prepared to meet their needs even away from their homes. I make sure to keep dogs at a safe distance close to me so that in the event they are reactive in any way I can make sure they are safe and that I am able to bring their focus back to me and our walk. I always make sure to securely lock all doors of homes I am sitting and to have a key with me at all times, so even if I am away on a walk I know their home is safe. I also always ask for an owners preferred vet, nearby emergency vet, as well as a nearby emergency contact so that I am prepared to properly care for the pet in any situation.

I do generally like to know what their overall temperament is, if they're more energetic or more of a couch potato so I can base what we do off of their mood. I also like to know how they are on walks, and if they are more reactive to other animals, so that I can best plan on where I should be walking them. Additionally, any health concerns, medications, food specifications, or any other safety related issues I like to know ahead of time so that I can take care of your pet as well as possible!
A typical day
I love to take dogs for hikes, as well as longer walks around one of the reservoirs near me as long as their owners are comfortable with that. I think its a great way to expose them to new surroundings, and having new locations to check out and smell is actually very enriching for them! I also love to get creative with the games I play with them, usually hiding a treat or favorite toy in some way that they have to work out how to get it is very mentally stimulating for them.

Availability
I currently work full time Monday-Friday from 7AM-3:30PM. I am available for overnights throughout the week as long as your pet is alright to be home during the day, with me coming in to care for them after work and stay with them at night. I am also available on weekends, and for drop ins and walks outside of my normal working hours.
