Pet care experience
I have ample experience with dogs, cats, and small animals (rabbits, Guinea pigs, hamsters, etc.) in both personal and professional settings. I worked several years as a veterinary assistant (and have several vets on speed-dial), have 100+ hours of animal shelter volunteering, and volunteer my time to help friends and family perform nail-trims on pets! I have been pet sitting and walking dogs for neighbors since age 10. I currently work in research and will be starting veterinary school in the Fall of 2023! I am hoping to spend my Spring/Summer walking your four legged friend(s) and providing them some TLC while you're out of town. With me, your pets are in good hands :) I will have FULL availability starting in June! Restricted hours until then- please see schedule.

Abigail is incredibly caring and patient with animals. From her experience as a vet. assistant she is incredibly capable of handling any care needs your pet may need. She goes above and beyond in terms of pet sitting and will make sure your pet is well walked and well cuddled while you're away. Anytime she watches my pets I know I don't have to worry about their well-being and it's such a relief anytime I plan a trip to know I will have someone reliable and caring to take care of them!
Abby was a wonderful dog sitter! She watched my two corgis for the weekend and hope she’ll watch them again in the future. She’s very communicative, punctual and thoughtful. Would highly recommend!
Abby has amazing instincts with animals! She has grown up with pets of your own, has worked in a veterinarian clinic and will be studying veterinarian medicine in the fall. She truly understands the quirks and behaviors of any size or breed. Her love of animals runs deep, and she loves being surrounded by animals all the time. I can adapt to whatever care your animal may need! Whether that is going on a run to get out some active energy, or giving medications to your dog, cat, rabbit, etc! I have a very friendly, Canine Good Citizen Certified, 11month old beagle, who I can also bring to keep your pet(s) company (if you are interested).

A typical day
I am a big proponent of the saying "a tired dog is a happy dog". I will entertain your dog physically and mentally. My favorite outing spots include Mackworth Island (Falmouth) and any of the local beaches! I am also happy to bring your dog to an enclosed park, go on walks downtown, or around your neighborhood. I also enjoy running, which can be good for energetic pups! I am happy to work with your dog on basic obedience as well. We can discuss if your dog is still in training and what you may want me to reinforce while you are away.

Availability
I am currently working full-time, but can walk your dogs during my lunch-break and after work (flexibility for lunch hours between 11-1, "after work" hours from 4pm onward) Starting in June I will be working with Rover full-time. Once we have met, and you and your pet are comfortable, I am happy to help with same-day needs. If you are called into work unexpectedly or something comes up, shoot me a text!
