Pet care experience
Hi y'all! I'm Abby. I relocated to Florida from Austin, TX about a year ago now. I grew up on a ranch in Texas with a farrier dad. He made sure I started helping with our animals while I was in diapers. It being a fairly small town, my dad would regularly help out the community with any emergencies when it came to their pets & live stock & always took me along for the ride. He's taught me so much & really set the foundation for my love of animal care. I've also had experience working in an animal hospital. I have no problem at all with administering any medications including: oral, topical, ear/eye drops and injections. I'm happy to meet any special diet/allergy needs or help with any other special requests for your fur babies. I love all breeds, weights and ages. If there's a regular schedule or training technique that you would like me to keep in practice while your pets are with me just give me a heads up and I'm more than happy to accommodate them. I love going on hikes & swimming trips with the pups. My friends & I love planning & attending lots of dog friendly events. With your permission I'd love to include your kiddo(s) at the occasional doggy birthday party, "bark mitzvah" or play dates we plan. I have a fully fenced in back yard & always make sure play time is supervised. If I step out of the house I will always make sure pups are leashed & harness/collars are secure. I have seat belt clips in the car that I always use for car rides. I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies soon! With love, Abby

Left my precious pup with Abigail for 2 WEEKS during Christmas. She took fantastic care of my dog, sent a bunch of pictures, and was always prompt to respond even though I was in a time zone that was 5 hours ahead! Highly recommend!

Does your pet: *Have any health issues/allergies? *Take medication? If so, what’s their medication schedule? *Have up-to-date vaccinations and preventative flea treatment? *Is your dog used to being left alone? For how long? Will they be okay free roaming while I am away or do you usually need them to be crated? (I have a pet camera I use to make frequent check ins when I step out that has two way audio). *Does your dog have any food aggression or instincts to protect particular toys? *Please let me know of anything else you feel is important to know about your pet before their time with me :)
A typical day
We always start our day with our morning potty break & then have breakfast. We have another potty break soon after. We like to spend lots of time outside in the sun & I love to set up a doggy pool for the pups to cool down when they'd like! I'm usually always joining in on the water fun! I also make sure we spend plenty of time cooling down inside throughout the day. I keep lots of toys in the toy bin for inside play. When we're feeling on the lazy side I love to cuddle up with the pups on the couch & find something good to watch. If the weather/sidewalk is cool enough we will take strolls through the neighborhood/park nearby. I'm new to the Florida area but in Texas we love taking the pups to the river/lakes often so I'm really looking forward to beach trips with them now!

Availability
I’m currently working at an animal hospital part time, usually about ~5 hour shifts. My fiancé works from home so he’s able to make sure there’s potty breaks when I’m working.
