Hello! My name’s Abigail but I often go by Abz. I’ve been living on the Outer Banks for the past 12 years and love the local community and laidback lifestyle. Being familiar with the ins and outs of the Outer Bank's challenges, I am understanding and accommodating to both local and visiting pet owner's need for flexibility and dependability. My experience in pet care covers all ages and a variety of breeds and backgrounds. Though I love dogs of all breeds and sizes, my passion is caring for large dogs. I am proficient in a wide range of care needs, anything from potty training puppies to assisting senior dogs. Your pup will be treated like one of the family while in my care! I enjoy long walks in all types of weather and especially like going for runs with the more energetic pups! Abby is by far the most reliable and gentle dog walker in the OBX! She has taken such great care of our dog Lucky during the last couple of months while renting. I will miss her incredible pictures and love for Lucky! 💙
Abs was great with our old man. She came over to check on him and take him for a little walk. He doesn’t walk for very long but she was great to stay with him for an hour and give him lots of snuggles! I would definitely ask her to take care of our bubs again in the future.

Thanks Abby 🦮Thanks Abby 🦮 for always taking such great care of lucky! I know it was awfully hot today, so I’m glad you guys just stayed close by and let him just sniff everything . He was be after our little 25 minute walk this morning at 7 AM. He is such a good dog, about food, I can’t remember if I told you I make him sit before he eats? If not it’s totally fine. But the little voice cues are use with him is sit, weight, and when I’m ready for him to eat I say OK! He’s so obedient and that was all training we did from the very first day we brought him home from the shelter.

Safety is my top priority when caring for your pet. I follow any specific instructions provided by the pet owner, such as feeding schedules and medication administration. Additionally, I offer plenty of love and attention to keep them happy. In a client's home, I maintain their pet's routine as closely as possible, following their feeding, exercise, and sleeping patterns. Furthermore, I am careful to read pets' body language and respect their space, especially as they are getting to know me. Leashes are a must when not in a secure and enclosed space.

A typical day
I love to take the pups on walks to the beach when tide and weather allow. On the more blustery or hot days, I tend to stay on the sound side where we are out of the wind or have more shade.
