I am a detail oriented and very loving person who cares about the way I treat others and their property. Although I don't currently have a dog of my own, I completely get it that people's dogs are beloved family members and in some cases, even children to their owners. I am great at showing compassion and patience with special needs situations, and am very thorough in my completion of tasks. A former public middle school art teacher, I now work from home teaching home schoolers and adults in my home-based art studio. Because I'm home full time, I enjoy great flexibility in my daily routines and schedule. If I'm able to help someone, I will. I will love your pet as you do! Thanks

Abigail has been friends with my dog Indigo for 6 years. She has stayed with him many times and always shows great care and concern that he gets his exercise. She loves walking with him and is one of the few people I would trust with that responsibility. I never have to worry about his safety with her because she is very attentive to all his needs. I would highly recommend her for anyone who is looking for a serious and responsible pet-sitter.

I would need to know if the dog has any house training issues, or high separation anxiety. I don't necessarily have a breed preference, as much as I do behavior preference. I do not do well with dogs that jump or bark excessively and aggressively. If the dog responds well to verbal commands, and does not go crazy when near other dogs while walking, I'll be fine.
A typical day
I love walking at East Beach in Norfolk, which is a short 12 minute drive from my home. I am also very fond of walking in downtown Norfolk, and I have visited at least one dog park there off Granby St before with a friend's dog. I often walk another friend's dogs on the beach at Ocean View, as well as in that neighborhood. I also spend a lot of time working in my fenced in back yard, as I am an avid gardener.
