Dedicated and Experienced Care

Pet care experience

Hello! I am an experienced animal caretaker and novice trainer. I work at a pet boarding facility so I am very familiar with all kinds of breeds and temperaments. I have 1 cat, 1 tree frog, and 2 geckos myself and I work with several dozens of dogs every day. I believe in following care to the letter. Especially when it comes to reptiles, amphibians, and birds, I understand the importance of getting the care exactly right. I'm very familiar and well-versed in administering medications, including insulin, as well as pets with other special needs. If your pet has special needs such as medication, deafness, blindness, mobility issues, or behavioral needs, please provide that information in a message along with your booking request. I do not accept dog bookings with any kind of aggression due to safety concerns from past experiences, however I will be able to help you find someone who can. This policy is for everyone's safety and well-being. Please select the appropriate service for your needs. *Regular drop ins do not include a walk.* Drop-ins include: a potty break (for dogs), litterbox cleaning (for cats and small animals), a meal/treat if desired, any additional care necessary (i.e. medications) and a playtime either inside or outside. Outside playtimes are only available for dogs with adequately fenced in yards or long lines. Drop-ins go for no less than 30 minutes. If you need a longer visit, we can customize a rate! Walks include: A water check upon arrival and a walk based on your dog's energy level and weather. The max walk time is 25 minutes. If you feel that your dog will need a longer walk to satisfy their energy needs, please inquire about a custom rate! Walk length heavily depends on weather conditions and your dog's needs. If your dog(s) are crated, they will get a good chance to get water after the walk before they are returned to their crate. Dogs over 40 pounds must be walked separately for safety. Boarding: I do not offer boarding in my own home. The boarding option is best for when you will not be available to your pets for more than a day. Boarding includes around the clock care for your pet: potty breaks at their usual intervals, all of their meals and treats, medication, play times according to their energy level, and any additional care. Some Do's and Don't's: - I do not accept bookings for dogs with any kind of aggression (including but not limited to cage aggression, food aggression, resource guarding) However, I can direct you to someone who can. Please do not downplay any aggression. - I will not live feed your snake or other animal - I do not offer grooming aside from brushing - I am not a vet - I do not offer care for livestock - I have never provided care for backyard chickens but I am open to learning! :) - I do offer training on a case-by-case basis - Prices are only negotiable if the service options available do not fit your needs. Such as only needing care for fish, or an extended play time or walk. - If I am unavailable on the day you need, I may be able to move things around or find you someone who is available, so please don't hesitate to ask! COVID-19 UPDATE: I no longer require Meet-N'-Greets for cats or repeat clients. (unless something major has changed) I do require them for dogs and other pets. Dogs need a chance to meet me with their family around so they feel safe. As for other pets such as fish or small animals, it is necessary to get a chance to see how the care is normally done. Masks are required.

Information Abigail C. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your pet has any medical needs, special requirements, or quirks. I have lots of experience with larger dogs but due to my size I prefer if they've had behavioral training for safety reasons. I always prefer to do a Meet and Greet, especially with dogs before extended stays, not just for me, but also for the dog to get used to me. It is important for dogs to recognize and feel safe when your sitter enters your home without you. If a dog does not feel safe, the sitter cannot feel safe.

A typical day

Your dog can expect: - a 10-15 minute run outside, in the yard or around the neighborhood (weather and training permitting) - fetch/tug rope outside for the rest of the visit - belly rubs - treats - if you are currently working on a training or behavioral correction with your dog, (i.e.: commands, teaching fetch, feeding procedures, staying off furniture, etc.) I will work to enforce that, just let me know! Your cat can expect: - engaging playtime for the duration of the visit - food and water filled -litter boxes cleaned - plenty of petting - treats if provided Your reptile can expect: - complete care and attention that meets their needs, careful monitoring of gauges and health
