Former Foster for Service Dogs

Pet care experience

I have had dogs in my home ever since I was born 23 years ago. I started caring for my own dog when I became a foster for a service dog in training organization in college. I also have had 3 years of experience with caring for cats, as well as other animals like fish and hamsters.

Abby is amazing! She has patience and compassion for the animals she cares for. She has basic training skills and is so loving to every animal she encounters. Id trust her with any of my pets any day!

I worked with Abigail at 4 Paws for Ability (service dog organization) and she was very good with basic training skills for the dogs. She was great with her foster and cared for her a lot. She also took time out of her day to watch other fosters and take them on walks. Abigail cares a lot about the dogs in her life and I would always trust her with my pets!

My apartment complex does not allow me to have animals, but if I am pet sitting at a client’s home, I will be available for most services. I can walk for up to 45 minutes with any size of dog, although temperament is important for me to know before I accept a job. I am a communicative individual and I appreciate clients who are the same way. As someone who has moved from their home in Kentucky, filled with dogs and cats, I am looking forward to bonding with your pets!

Information Abigail B. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviors I need to account for. I am able to adjust pretty well, but I would ask that you talk about their temperament around other people/animals, their personalities, behaviors, and any sign of food/territory aggression.

A typical day

I think that long walks with lots of stone to sniff around the area is super important. Many dogs get mentally exhausted as well as physically exhausted when you allow for them to take their time for enrichment (i.e. discovering different areas and scents). I enjoy walking dogs around grassy, open areas.
