Pet care experience
Hi there, I'm Abigail and I am here for you and your furry kids! I grew up with cats and big dogs. In college and post-college, I have spent countless hours at animal shelters and rescues learning about cat and dog behavior to be a better caretaker and handler. I have been walking and house sitting cats and dogs and exotics, outside of my own, for three years. I have a soft spot for senior cats, dogs that are shy, and pets that need a gentle hand/extra attention to feel comfortable without mom or dad. I have the most experience with house sitting for cats and for dogs that are between 25-100 lbs. Not only will I go the extra mile to make your pets feel loved, appreciated, and acknowledged when it comes to taking them to their favorite places or playing with the very best toy, I will ensure that your pets and home are taken care of and kept in the best condition for when you return.

Abby is amazing! She is the first person that comes to mind, when I think about someone that loves all animals. Her family has two large bloodhounds and she has a car and a spotted Gecko. From her experience at home and her work at PetSmart, I fully trust in her ability to care for other people's dogs. Beyond her experience, Abby is friendly, conscious of the needs of a variety of animals, detailed oriented, and very respectful of the wishes of others. She is highly dependable and honest and brought a lot of things to my attention about my two dogs, Bam and Duke, and cat, Francine. I highly recommend Abby to anyone that is looking for someone that will go above and beyond to look after and care for your dogs!
She took wonderful care of my two cats and dog. She sent me pictures and updated me on how they were getting along so well. She was always there when I would ask about them.

I need to know what medications your pet takes including: how much they take, how often they need it, how they take it (i.e. a pill wrapped in cheese, in their food, oral syringe, etc.), and if I need to pick up more while you are gone. I have not done subcutaneous fluids or injectable medications with cats or dogs but I am a quick learner and not squeamish and can use needle meds if shown. I would like to know if your dog has any aggression towards things like food, toys, or other dogs or specific humans. If so I am not deterred, but it is useful information for both my safety and your dogs! Especially while we go on walks or to the dog park. I don't have breed preferences, and I don't discriminate! As long as your pets will let me play with them, love on them, and take them for walks then we'll get along great.
A typical day
I'd love to take dogs to the dog park if they want to socialize, hiking if they need to get their energy out, or just hang out at home with their toys if they prefer to stay inside in the AC. I'm here to make your dogs be their happiest and healthiest self, regardless of if they need to go outside or laze on a couch.
