Pet care experience
Hello! I am a responsible, experienced, and considerate pet sitter who values giving animals the best care possible. I have lived with and cared for both dogs and cats for the past five years, some of which were rescue animals that required special attention and boundaries. I understand that each animal has different boundaries and needs, and am adaptable in how I care for them. Most of all, I love animals and am always eager to spend more time with them! Since moving to Asheville in 2017, I have house and pet sat (including a pet pig!) regularly for friends and coworkers. I am very clean and respectful, always careful to leave a place the same as or better than I found it. I currently have a cat named Frankie, who is my best animal pal. I strive to treat all pets (pigs included) like I would my own - with the best love, care, and attention.

I always want to know how dog respond to new people, kids, and other dogs/animals. As someone who has lived with and cared for a rescue pitbull, I know firsthand how unpredictable some pets can be in new situations. Other considerations: Are there any other triggers for your pet(s)? Are there any pet behaviors or concerns that I should keep tabs on while you are away? No breed preference!
A typical day
Walking is my favorite “sport” so finding new spots to explore with a dog is always the best! New neighborhoods, quiet hiking trails, and parks are definitely on the list of walking spots. Some of current favorites: Beverly Hills/Haw Creek neighborhoods, Montford neighborhood, Beaver Lake (if the owner has a dog permit of course!), MTS trail at the Folk Art Center, Shopes Creek, trails at Warren Wilson. I also have several close friends with dogs in the area who frequent local dog parks and love setting up play dates if the dog is comfortable being around new people and animals.

Availability
I work full time. While I have some flexibility during the workweek, my availability M-F is limited. Mornings and evenings work best. I am most flexible on weekends. I am from out of state and do travel often to see my partner, family, and friends.
