Pet care experience
I'm Abby, and I've had a passion for animals ever since I can remember. I have house-sat and pet-sat for several years, caring for dogs, cats, horses, chickens, birds, fish, gardens, etc. I have experience working with all sorts of animals and breeds. I own a sweet little Miniature Pinscher mix named Dexter, and I usually bring him with me when I house sit. We would love to give your pets the care and attention that they need. Life should be about enjoying every blessing God gives us, each moment, and animals are certainly the best at doing that. I am available to walk, visit, and stay with your dogs, and I am also willing to handle care for most other animals including horses, cats, fish, birds, etc. I look forward to meeting you and your pets!
Reviews
Abby was wonderful with both my sweet old dog and my energetic puppy. She has great communication and my dogs loved her!! I highly recommend Abby for dog sitting.
Abby is so great with my puppy and my sweet old dog! I would recommend her for anyone looking for dog care.
Abby is such a fabulous sitter. She treated my cats like her own, and they were so happy and peaceful when I came home from my 2-week vacation. She is responsive and responsible, and I can really trust her. Thank you SO much, Abby!
You are a sweet heart. Thank you for watching over the cats. Making sure they had food and water over the holidays and during my recovery was very comforting for me. I hope you will be available again as spring and summer brings vacations and family visits. I certainly would request you again.

I have a small dog, Dexter, who comes with me when I stay overnight to house and pet sit. Before accepting a booking, I prefer to schedule a meet and greet to assure that he will get along with your pets, as well as to discuss your pets' needs. If your pets do not get on well with other dogs, I do provide drop by visits where I come (without my dog) once or twice a day to take care of your pets. Whether I am staying over or stopping by, I will be diligent to care for your pets including letting them out, cleaning their boxes, feeding, grooming, and exercising, according to each pet's individual needs. I am also willing to water plants, bring in mail, or other small tasks that may need to be done while you are gone.
Information Abby W. would like to know about your pet
It would be appreciated if you could give some information about your animal(s) and provide a meet-and-greet before I work with them. This will help me know your preferences for their care. Some things I may ask you include: Feeding schedule (free feed or set times, wet or canned, and how much) Food limitations/ allergies Activity level Sleep schedule and daily routine Bathroom schedule and location Behavior when alone Type of leash or harness Social behavior (with other animals, with strangers, children, etc...) Training methods (treats, words or hand gestures used for sit, heel, come, stay, etc...) Fears (thunderstorms, fireworks, water, car rides, etc...) Favorite toys or games Crate training Spayed/neutered Any injuries or past medical history that would prevent extended exercise Vehicle etiquette Health issues, medications Emergency vet, number and location
A typical day
Keep in mind that I'll be bringing my dog, Dexter, with me when I house sit. I will be confirming that he gets along well with your pets beforehand. He is friendly towards other dogs, cats, and horses. If your pets do not get along well with other dogs, I do provide the drop-in service, where I can visit your pets once or twice a day, and I would not bring my dog if you request. If I am spending the night, I will need to bring Dexter with me. Also keep in mind that I have commitments a few nights each week, so if this conflicts with your pet's schedule, I may have to decline.

Availability
I am currently working part time with a flexible schedule, so I can usually adjust my schedule to accommodate your pets. I do have a few other commitments throughout the week, usually in the evenings.
