Dog Loving Home in Rockrimmon
Pet care experience
Hi there, my name is Abby and I am a full time dog mom (working to finish my bachelors online) so I can devote extra time caring for your pup. I am an experienced dog caretaker - I offer a fun and loving experience for your pooch while you're away! I use Rover when I travel and I understand how it can be hard to find a reliable and safe dog caretaker! Here is what I do to make sure both you and your dog are satisfied with your dog's stay in my home: - I send daily photo updates of your dog through out the day! - I always use positive reinforcement and treats. - I work from home, so your dog is supervised and cared for more directly than traditional boarding options. - I provide AT LEAST 1 walk per stay, per day - The safety of both your dog and mine, is my #1 priority! I hope to meet your dog soon!
Reviews
Our usual Rover sitter was booked this week, so we found Abby instead. She lives way closer to us, so we loved that! Our Weimaraner had a wonderful time at Abby's house. Abby took Sarah on walks, played with her and Sarah enjoyed playing with Abby's other dogs. Abby's communication was excellent, she sent us some excellent photos and everything went smoothly for drop off and pick up. We will definitely use Abby again and would recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable pet sitter on the West side of Colorado Springs!
My dog, Josie, was healthy & happy when I picked her up after her stay with Abby. She did a great job!
She did an awesome job taking care of our dog. She was very professional and quick to respond to our search for overnight boarding. This was the first time we used the Rover service so we were sceptical about it but she made us comfortable because of the friendliness and constant updates with pictures. If ever in Colorado Springs and in need of Rover service we would definitely rebook with Abby S.

Does your dog get along well with other dogs? I have two dogs in my home and they are well socialized and love to play! Please let me know of any unique needs that your dog has (anxiety, allergies, food restrictions, etc.)
A typical day
Your dog will love staying in our home - a fenced in backyard and nearby trails in the Rockrimmon neighborhood allow for a fun experience! MEET AND GREET: It is very important to me to make sure that our dogs get along. I want to make sure that my home will be the most comfortable and safest option for your dog's stay! I like to have a quick meet and greet session between your dog and mine before finalizing your dog's visit. FEEDINGS: Please bring your dog's preferred dog food and I will feed per your instruction. I only give treats that I find safe and healthy for my own dogs! Please let me know if your dog has any allergies or treat restrictions. I can provide oral medication if needed. Fresh water will ALWAYS be provided both indoors and outdoors. EXERCISE: I love to take my dogs on walks at least once a day, and yours is welcome to join if that is something they enjoy. I usually end up doing more than one walk as well as supervised backyard/outside time - but it depends upon the weather. I don't have dogs outside for an extended period if it is too hot or too cold. NIGHT TIME: I want your dog to be as comfortable as possible! Just let me know how they normally sleep at home. They can sleep in my bedroom on their mat/bed if that is the most comforting for them. If they are crate trained that is great too. I have a baby gate that can be put up in a guest room or bathroom if they would prefer their own room with a bed. In some cases, it has worked that the doggie guest is perfectly happy just sleeping on our couch, this is fine too! Please bring your dog's bedding and/or crate if that is what they are used to at home. IF I AM OUT: I rarely leave the home when I am dog sitting, but if I need to run a quick errand it is never more than a couple of hours. If I am out of the house I prefer that your dog be crated as it is the safest place for your dog. I have a medium and large breed crate at my home if you do not want to worry about bringing your own. If your dog has an aversion to crates I have a large laundry room, where I provide water and a toy, that they can comfortably stay in while I am gone. I keep my dogs and your dog separate while I am gone, just to be extra safe :).
