My dog Rocky can be a handful, but Abby handled him like a pro. He still goes to the guest room looking for her. Abby also took care of lots of house plants and outdoor landscaping, and did ok at that also.

Abby is wonderful with all types of animals. They seem to be drawn to her. She is a very responsible person. My pets all love her. It's comforting to know that she is with them when I can not be there.

I want to be your dog's best friend

Hey there, I’m Abby!

I've been a pet owner my whole life, but I have made pet care an essential part of my routine outside of home for about nine years. I have interned and volunteered at my local Humane Society for six years, long hours for nothing more than the gratitude of the animals for doing a good job. There I specialized in the walking and care giving of many different dogs. From ...

What Abby would like to know about your dog

I have no breed preferences, however I would like a summary of your pet(s)'s temperament and how they react to certain things.

Do they get along with other dogs? With hyper dogs? Big dogs?

Are they potty trained? What are their feeding and potty schedules?

How are they around strangers? Noisy or busy streets?

How are they best suited to be exercised? Calm short walks? Quick paced runs?

Do they have a favorite toy or treat?

Additional Skills
Oral Medication Administration
Senior Dog Experience
First Aid/CPR
Can provide daily exercise

When Abby watches your pet

I live a very active lifestyle as an athlete, often running at my local park or fitness facility. I take my own dogs for runs as well, but if all parties would be more comfortable I will walk/run your dog separately from my own.

If permitted and feasible I would love to bring your dog on a hike with me! Dog friendly trails are a great way to expend high levels of energy in hyperactive dogs. For calmer dogs, some time in a park walking or playing with toys sounds like a more suitable playtime. Or if your dogs just needs to see a friendly face and have some belly rubs while you're unavailable I'm certainly on board with that!
