I began dog sitting to earn some spending money when I was still in high school and have been hooked ever since! When I went to college I continued to sit and walk dogs, to break up the monotony of lectures and studying. After I was out on my own, I began working in the veterinary field (while still dog-sitting on the side of course) and learned a lot when it came to dog health and behavior. During my years as a veterinary assistant, I became comfortable with many different health issues and am comfortable with special needs, elderly dogs, and those requiring medication. After 5 years as a veterinary assistant I sadly had to step down as the long hours were no longer sustainable after the birth of our son. However, I am now at a desk 9-5 and often able to swing home on my lunch break for a quick potty break. This allows me to know exactly when I'll be home in the evenings for drop offs and pick ups and not wondering if I will be asked to stay late that particular day! I am currently not able to spend the night at doggies homes as I have my own family responsibilities at home but am able to stop by a few times a day if your pup is more comfortable at home. Typically these visits are limited to 30 minutes or less for feedings and potty breaks so that I can get home to take care of those boarding in my own home....that and a restless toddler away from home has little patience for prolonged visits. I am thrilled to meet your fur baby and make him or her happy and comfortable while you enjoy your trip, guilt-free. Happy Travels!
