Here to care for your furbaby!

Pet care experience

After growing up with animals my whole life, working for a pet sitting company, and now moving to a new town I'd love to continue with my work! I love animals endlessly and was determined to be a zoologist at age 9 (didn’t work out though, too much science, not enough time with animals). Big, tiny, all animals make such great companions, I'd love to be the one who cares for yours! Im a senior Political Science Major/Legal Studies minor applying to law school this year. Im very attentive and alert, I ensure that no animals in my care will be endangered. I'm very active so lengths of walks and runs does not affect me I do very well with high energy pups, whatever you and you furbabe needs, I'll be sure to deliver the best work I can! Thanks, -Abby

Abby was great with Gracie. She's a great communicator and very flexible with time. I would definitely leave her with Abby again.

Abby was very nice and easy to work with. She was great with my husky, and she took good care of her. I highly recommend her as a sitter. I would definitely contact Abby again for a short or long stay in the future!

Abby took care of dog Archie while we were away on vacation. Abby was amazing! Not only is she caring and shows lots of affection for our dog but she made sure to keep us posted with pictures on how Archie was doing while we were away on vacation. Our dog almost seemed to be disappointed when she left!!

Safety, trust & environment

I always make sure to immediately shut doors within the second I walk in or out of the home. I like to know in advance what rooms the dog is able to be in if there are any restrictions. I am always scanning the room for any choking or food-illness hazards. If you have a gated backyard I like to check it out by myself first to understand the environment. I always pick up after a dog goes number two in your yard, it’s the least I can do. I never let your pup out of my field of vision, I can’t imagine being a dog sitter and just watching tv on the couch when theres a whole dog there to play with!

Information Abby M. would like to know about your pet

If they are nervous around new people, children, other dogs or animals. What kind of leash they use and if they tend to pull. If they have any allergies, or any medication that need to be administered. If there’s any ongoing training they’re doing so I can adhere to the training guidelines. If they are okay to go to dog parks. When they need to be fed. When it’s okay to give them treats.

A typical day

I live on Rutgers campus which has some great walkways away from super busy roads, Military Park is only a ten minute walk from me. I love learning what a dogs favorite toy is during sittings, and finding out their favorite way to play!
