Certified Veterinary Technician! :)
Pet care experience
I am a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), a 2020 graduate of Middlesex Community College's accredited vet tech program. I have always had a passion for animals and science and decided to pursue a career path that would fuse them both! The "years of personal or professional experience caring for pets" was a difficult box to fill out accurately, as I have had a cat since childhood that I have looked after, but Rover seems to mainly focus on pups. :) I am very familiar with both dogs and cats and what it takes to properly look after them (or many of them). In addition to this, I am also employed full-time as a CVT where I work with both dogs and cats every single shift. Not only does this mean I can look after pets and their basic needs, but I can also identify potential problems or concerns. This in NO WAY means that I can diagnose health problems or provide any veterinary care while looking after your fur babies. x) It simply means that I have acquired an eye for animals' health/needs that many normal pet owners may not have! I love getting exercise, especially with a fuzzy companion walking/playing beside me, and am a respectful, trustworthy human being to have in your home or with your beloved pet. Every animal I look after is treated with care, compassion and as an individual. Because I have such a busy schedule, Rover seemed like a good option because I can customize my hours and availability while doing something meaningful. That being said, the calendar is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to get to reflect my exact hours, though I did my best to give the hours I’d be available. Thanks for reading and I look forward to meeting you and your pet!
Reviews
We have a 40lb pit bill named Remmy and Abby has looked after him many a time (both in our home, on walks and swims at the river). She has always been an expert ear scratcher, tennis ball thrower, treat giver and caretaker. She's also given us really helpful advice throughout the years as our dog has serious separation anxiety. Abby will always go the extra mile to make sure your pet is loved and taken care of and there isn't anyone more compassionate and more perceptive to animals' needs than her. You are guaranteed to hire not only a reliable and experienced sitter but a best friend to your pet.
Abby is a trustworthy, responsible, and friendly human being. You will receive dependable, loving care for your pet and thoughtful customer service for yourself. Abby is a lifetime pet owner and knows how much those extra details mean in keeping a pet happy. Bonus - she is studying to become a Veterinary Technician. You won't be disappointed hiring her.

Safety, trust & environment
I care for pets using specific instructions passed on to my by owners, and combine it with my veterinary experience to make sure all pets are safe and comfortable.
Information Abby I. would like to know about your pet
-Any health complications (eg. medications, schedules, off-limits activities, symptoms to watch for, etc.) -Tendencies toward aggression/fear that I can look out for -Diet and treat instructions/limitations
A typical day
First and foremost I will ask YOU what your pets enjoy so that I do not overwhelm your animals or create an unsafe environment for them. That being said, I love exploring safe neighborhoods and playing games. I typically do not travel far simply as a safety concern. Anywhere you specifically request I take your pets, I would be honored to.
