Pet care experience
Growing up in a household full of pets, I gained love and experience in caring for animals at a young age. This passion for animals never went away and I have had multiple volunteer/internship experiences to engage myself in the world of animal care. In my hometown of Howell I regularly volunteered at the Humane Society and during my undergraduate college years, I was the education intern at the Capital Area Humane Society in Lansing. This internship let me lead clubs and camps for children to educate them on animals and how to care for them. I now volunteer at the Humane Society of West Michigan and love walking the dogs there whenever I can. As I live in an apartment currently, I don't have any dogs, but my two cats are my babies. I understand how special pets are to their owners and I take pride in the expertise and love I can provide in caring for your furry children!

Abby did a great job with our 11 week old Golden Retriever puppy. She watched him for a week...providing him with lots of love, attention and playtime. Abby was great about providing frequent updates and pics of our puppy. When we got home the house was just as we left it, she did a great job keeping up with out little guy. We would hands down recommend Abby and we look forward to hiring her again.
Abby was fantastic! She kindly met me in advance to go over Asher’s needs and while I was on vacation she did a wonderful job at taking care of him. She sent detailed updates and cute pictures. I would highly recommend her and will use her in the future.

Abby has been around animals her whole life whether it is her adoring pets or through volunteering at numerous humane societies. Animals are her passion and that is evident through her approach to caring for them. I've been around Abby and her dogs enough to know that they love her just as much as she loves them!

I do not have any breed preference, but it is necessary that your dog gets along well with cats if at my apartment because I have two cats currently. They both get along great with dogs. Please let me know if the dog has any allergies or special needs that need to be accommodated beforehand.
A typical day
While I do live in an apartment, it is located in a great area that provides many options for walking. Right outside downtown in the Heritage Hills neighborhood, there are plenty of areas for your dogs and I to roam around. Playing fetch, chewing bones, eating treats, and sharing cuddles are some activities that your dog and I will have a great time enjoying!
