We are a very dog-friendly family on the lookout for more "dog-in-laws!" Dog sitting gives our family the opportunity to experience a variety of breeds with a variety of personalities several times a month and we just love it! I live with my mild-mannered husband of 17 years and our two children (15 & 13). We have been watching dogs together for around ten years and haven’t gotten around to getting our own because we love pet sitting so much! They each have such wonderful personalities that we get to experience. Our kids are kind, responsible, and very respectful of every dog that comes into our home and they will be sure to give your pooch a lot of attention and affection! They’re built in entertainment and cuddles, especially for higher energy pups that really need to get a little extra exercise. Our experience ranges from Labs to Pugs to Bichon Frises to Irish Setters and more! We regularly watch our very first “dog-in-law”, Wrigley, a few times a year for the past ten years. He’s a yellow Lab and has the best manners. We also have a sweet Goldendoodle who stays with us two days a week, ever since he was a pup! We’ve also watched two Greyhounds and are so impressed with their gentle giant and “45 miles per hour couch potato” dispositions! One of our most recent visitors was a 13 year old blind Jack Russell Terrier named Cuddles. She was so sweet and it gave us the confidence to watch dogs of all breeds, as well as any with medical or social issues! It’s been such a great learning experience for my children to see that all dogs have different temperaments and they’ve gained so much knowledge on how to lovingly care for all types of animals! You’ll love that I am home full-time so your pup will never be without someone nearby for potty breaks, play time, and snuggles on the couch. We’ll be sure to hit the great walking paths in the neighborhood two or three times a day. My schedule is very flexible and predictable, which means I can provide specialized care to each animal that joins our pack! I also know how hard it is to be away from your best friend, so you’ll get consistent text and photo updates from me that let you know how much fun your pup is having our my care! Because I have children, I am understanding about the special details your baby needs, such as feeding preferences, medical issues, or behavioral tendencies. Also, I'm used to messy (and picky) eaters, noticing and understanding potty cues, and making sure to give each “child” the affection they need. It’s a great fit! When I’m not pet sitting, I’m teaching online and writing classes. My most important job is taking care of my family, which will include your dog if you book a stay with me! Other than that, I exercise daily and am always sure to stay active.
