Pet care experience
Spending time with dogs has been a passion for mine since my family got Molly, an English Setter, when I was 6 years old. I have worked with dogs for many years. I worked at Camp Bow Wow (daycare and boarding) for 6 years. Often I would watch groups of 25 or more dogs playing together. This is where I learned a majority of my knowledge about canine behavior and specific breed traits. Additionally, I worked at Cottonwood Pet Resort (boarding) for 1 year. I also worked at Three Dog Bakery for 1 year baking dog treats and learning about highly rated dog food. In addition, I studied to be a vet tech for 1 year, which allowed me to learn about basic first aid, medication administration, and canine behavior. I have also fostered a dog, Westin, through Pug Partners of Nebraska. Poor Westin lived in a puppy mill for 10+ years. He was a sweet dog, but had many issues due to his former life. He was successfully adopted, and gave me first hand experience with rescue dogs. I live with my husband, Chris, and our 3 dogs. Aspen is a 14 year old Cockapoo who is really chill and mostly sleeps. Kona is a 7 year old Coton de Tulear. He is very sweet and loves playing, but can sometimes resource guard over treats. This is why I always separate dogs when eating or given chewing treats. Our youngest pup is Jaina, a 4 year old Standard Poodle, who yes, does have pink hair. She's spunky, full of energy, loves to make new friends, and LOVES attention! Our newest addition is Peri aka Kitty the Cornish Rex cat. He’s our first cat and he’s such a joy and loves his dogs. Caring for pets has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember, and caring for yours would be my pleasure. I also bake dog friendly cakes, cupcakes, and muffins for birthdays or everyday. Let me know if you need any treats for your pup's special day!

Thank you so much for the awesome job!
Wonderful and so caring!
Abbey has watched our dogs on multiple occasions and has always gone the extra mile to ensure our pets are well taken care of during our absence. I would highly recommend her and will certainly be using her in the future.
First time using Rover and is was a good experience. Abbey showed up on time each visit, sent us pics of the dogs and did what we asked. We will certainly use Rover and Abbey in the future

I have a fully fenced in yard and do not let the dogs spend excessive time outside without supervision. Additionally, my husband, Chris, works from home and enjoys taking care of (and cuddling) with our guest pups.

Information Abbey O. would like to know about your pet
I have no breed preferences. I would like to know their personality, likes and dislikes, and their usual routine. It can be really stressful for a dog when their parents go on vacation and it's important to try to keep things similar.
A typical day
Essentially they will become part of the family while enjoying their puppy vacation. For walks I have several routes I take through my neighborhood ranging in length depending on the dogs' energy levels and physical capabilities. I often take the dogs on a 30-45 minute walk around 10:30 at night when it's cooler outside. Your dog will only be kenneled if you desire it. During feeding time then dogs are temporarily separated with baby gates to avoid any food aggression or stealing.

I work full time as a preschool teacher at Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium so caring for other’s pets is more limited. I am available week nights and weekends for select clients.
