Pet care experience
I'm currently the lead zookeeper at the Yellow River Wildlife Sanctuary. I have cared for many animals from domestic to exotic and can provide excellent care for you pets in your home like I would the animals I work with. Being a keeper allows me to not only work with some amazing animals but it lets me take the skills I learn from work and apply them to home. I medicate animals on a daily basis so I can comfortably provide medication to your pets if needed. I currently have multiple pets of my own ranging from snakes, to cats, to rats so I am able to meet the needs of all animals. I have worked at 3 zoos, including my current position and have obtained a degree in Zoology so if you're looking for someone dedicated to animal care then I'm the person for you!

Abbey did a wonderful job taking care of Lucky for me while I was out of town for a week. She went beyond her duties and even offered to come snd help me look for Lucky after I came home and could not find her anywhere. Turns out she was hiding under the bed in my guest room. She was in great shape, was well fed, clean water and clean litter box. I would definitely use her again.
My kitties LOVE Abbey!!!! She sends us pictures of our fur babies every time she comes to feed them. She’s always professional and works with us on last minute request. We highly recommend Abbey!!

We are are very pleased with Abbey. She is always wonderful and professional. It was a wonderful surprise to receive text updates and pictures of our cats. She’s been so patient with date changes or last minute requests. We trust her 100% and the kitties give her the stamp of approval ?

I welcome every and all breeds of dogs, I would just like to know how they interact with other dogs and also cats before I take them on. I welcome all animals. I have watched cats, horses, birds, goats, and obviously dogs. I have a vast array of knowledge and I’m prepared to take on any species.
A typical day
I like to take dogs on walks approved by their owners. There may be a house you like to avoid, or other animals in a certain area that your dog dislikes. I do my best to strive for your dog to be as comfortable as possible. As for fun activities, I will do whatever your pup enjoys most! Fetch, playing chase, hide and seek, you tell me what your pup enjoys and that’s what we will do!

Availability
I am currently a full time zookeeper. Sometimes my days run a little longer then normal but that is not very often. I am available for house sitting but can do morning and afternoon drop ins for walks and feedings, if clients reside in and around Lilburn I am available for lunch walks and drop ins.
