My name is Abbey, I am a single mommy of two amazing little boys (who I have 50% of the time which allows for time to take care of your favorite furbabies). I am a furmomma to Oliver who is now 3 years old. I recently lost my 12 year old golden, Henry back in January 2022 which is was incredibly devastating. I become very invested and emotionally attached to the animals around me. It would be my honor and privilege to be invited and welcomed into your dogs life and home. :) Currently my walks with my flat faces pugs are limited during the summer heat due to his breed but normally I would spend hours on walks and the parks with my golden retriever. I have many years experience with walking, feeding, playing, petting, tummy rubs, ear scratches, and anything else you could possibly think of! I am up for long walks, quick strolls, or a ball toss session in the back yard to stretch our legs while the humans are away at work.

Abbey is a great human and fur-baby mommy treating all of her kiddos with love and respect. Abbey is great with animals and always has been, even as a young girl. Currently she has a 9 year old Golden Retriever named Henry who she absolutely adores. You never see Abbey out for a walk without Henry and she seriously dotes on him, he is incredibly spoiled. Throw in her newest addition and its like she is a new mommy all over again.. another spoiled doggy to add to her abode. Abbey is loving and respectful of boundaries and establishes her Alpha boss role immediately. She is patient with all animals big, small, old and young. She will be awesome as a pet sitter and walker. :) This opportunity is a definite bucket list check off for Abbey!

How your pet responds at home is the most important information I can gain. Does your pooch bolt for the door at any opportunity? Does your pet have any food aggressions or are they are vacuum cleaner like my pug? What makes your pooch happy? Do they have any fears or spooks?

I would like to know all about the dogs personality. Is he calm? Rambuctious? Food vacuum cleaner? Snuggly? Sassy? History of biting or nipping? A Jumper? Barker? Does he hit the door running at any opportunity? Anything you can tell me that will help me take the best care of your pet.
A typical day
I love playing fetch. I personally own a ball slinger that doggies go gaga over... if you have a smaller breed doggy, well we all know a good game of tug of war always does the job. I personally have a pug puppy, although he is full of puppy energy he is also a notoriously lazy breed.. I can give some awesome snuggle one on one lazy time as well! :) I love taking dogs to a dog park, walk on a scenic trail and discover local parks.

Availability
I currently work part-time so I am available all weeknights, Tuesday and Thursdays all day, and most every weekend to meet the needs of your family and pets. If evening care is needed for your pets, I will stop after work or whatever time works best for you! If I am housesitting/pet sitting, I will work your pets into my daily schedule with the house and pets being my priority.
