Pet care experience
Hello! I am in my third year at vet school and have experience in a small animal hospital working as a Vet Tech and an animal shelter. Therefore, I am comfortable giving any medications, whether orally or injections. I love working with everyone, from tiny kittens to big dogs to sassy cats! I have experience working with dogs and cats with behavioral problems as well, such as resource guarding, stranger danger and reactivity. My last dog I trained was certified Canine Good Citizen and Certified Therapy Dog, so I have lots of experience with training. I am also certified through Fear Free Pets, which encourages positive interactions between owners and pets, and decreases fear and anxiety in new or stressful situations. I know it can be stressful for both human and pets to be away from each other, but I will do everything I can to ease that burden!
Reviews
My cats are always in good hands with Abbey.
Abbey was wonderful - she was able to get us out of a bind on short notice; was a fantastic communicator; and managed a not so great surprise issue with the house very well on her own as we were unavailable for communication. We can’t say enough positive things and the dogs took to her immediately.
Abbey is thoughtful and a clear and consistent communicator. Our pitbull girl Layla is very shy around new people, but Abbey handled it with ease. She sent us many pictures we were away and gave us thorough updates which put our minds at ease. She was so sweet with all of our pets. Thank you so much Abbey!
I recently had the pleasure of having Abby watch my cat while I was away, and I couldn’t be more impressed. She took the time to get to know my cat’s personality and routine. Thank you!

Safety, trust & environment
You know your animal best, so I will ask you to tell me about the best way to keep your kiddo safe and happy. I have experience with crate training (even my cat was briefly crate trained!) but also know that not every dog needs that. I am happy to use any harness or leash you think is best, as long as it provides a safe and comfortable environment.
Information Abbey B. would like to know about your pet
You know your animals best, so please provide me with as much information as you can. I like to know if they have any fears or triggers, what their favorite food or activity is, and if they have any special needs or medications. I can provide drop-in visits for your dog or cat, or take your pup on a walk. I also offer nail trims!
A typical day
For dogs, I like to help them adjust to having their human away by sticking to their usual routine as much as possible. I also like to incorporate training games and walks to stimulate dogs both mentally and physically. For cats, I like to help them adjust to a new human by letting them take their time to get used to me. Sometimes I’ll just quietly read a book on the ground so they can approach me on their terms!
