Here's some quick information about myself in case you're in a hurry: - Education: Bachelor of Sciences, Animal Health Technology - Volunteered at local vet clinic, City of Edmonton, Edmonton Humane Society, WILDNorth - experience with young and old cats - experience with reptiles and birds - experience with dogs that pull on leash, dogs that act aggressively (or simply too excited) towards other dogs or people, and shy/anxious dogs Offering: - Flexible scheduling and last minute changes - Enriching walks with treats (sometimes teaching new tricks too!) - Enriching visits for cats or other feathery or scaly friends! - Prioritizing safety and security of both animal and owner, and owner's property And here are the details: I am a Bachelor of Science graduate as of April 2018. I studied Animal Health Technology at NAIT. I have 170+ hours of volunteering at the Edmonton Humane Society and I also volunteered at a local veterinary clinic where the patients were mainly dogs and cats. I have assisted with handling dogs/cats and socializing with dogs/cats at the clinic. I completed my internship at the WILDNorth Hospital in Edmonton where I worked with wildlife around Edmonton. My philosophy is that every animal deserves the utmost care/love and exercise to keep them happy and healthy! Providing proper nutrition and attention are both key aspects of a care giver's duties. I also believe that relationships with owners are extremely important in businesses like these. Trust and communication should be the pillar of every business-client relationship. For dogs owners, I have specified that I am comfortable with any type of dog but I would like to state that I can only work with very large dogs depending on their obedience and energy levels. I am not a very large individual and to ensure safety of both the dog and the public, it would not be ideal for me to walk very large, high-energy dogs that are not good with commands.
