“When I saw Paige was on Rover, I jumped to book her for drop-in visits during our vacation. Knowing her dedication and boundless affection for pets — no matter their quirks or issues! — from her work at the Ulster County SPCA, I knew my husband and I would be able to enjoy our trip without worry for our two elderly cattle dogs who need daily medication. Sure enough, our pups were well-cared for and are now both big fans of her. Thanks again, Paige!”

About: I've owned a small dogwalking/pet sitting business since 1999. I am CPDT-KA certified in dog training as well. I've worked with all breeds of dogs, ages with many different dispositions. My dogs are in small, friendly groups(3-5) that walk daily in Prospect Park. I'm not like other walkers who just walk around the block....I think it's important for the pups to be in nature, sniff & roll in the grass & get all those good smells in! I do all private training lessons(in your home) & specialize in puppy training Walking/training/boarding dogs is my professional job. I'm home throughout the day except for dog walks throughout the day. I also do training mostly on the weekends. I have a ground floor apt in a quiet neighborhood. All my dogs get out at least 4 times a day , usually with one outing to Prospect Park daily.

About: I have been raised in a home with pets and have never lived without them. I've had many different types of companions from tarantulas to rabbits to big lovable doggies. I currently have a puppy, Halo, a cat, Jake, and little Richie, my Betta. Wether it's play time with toys, nice walks around the neighborhood, hikes or cuddles, giving your friend what they need most is my top priority. If your dog is child friendly my 12 year old son could also come on occasion for extra play time. Sure makes monkey in the middle easier :) I am now available to help on weekends. I hope you will consider me to help you and your loved ones out. I hope your day is stress free and filled with cuddles.

Maria & Doug S.
“María is the most wonderful pet caregiver that I have ever encountered. Our dog loves her more than she loves us, and that’s the truth. Our dog receives enrichment, love, attention, and an awesome doggy slumber party when we are out of town.”

James H.

“We felt so comfortable leaving our sweet kitties (one who needs daily medication) with James. Great communication and would highly recommend.”

Jaime P.
“Jaime has been walking my chorkie since we got her. she takes her for fairly long walks. the dog loves it and so do I. I trust her compleatly and if your looking for a dog walker you couldn't ask for anyone better. She really care for my pup.”

Hannah C.
“Hannah has loved animals her entire life. All of her toys as a kid were animal related. She had a white lab, Samantha, when she was very young and always took tried to care for "her" dog. As she grew up, Hannah had a variety of pets ranging from rabbits, to hamsters to fish and frogs. Her favorite animal was always a giraffe. We are thankful there were no shelter giraffes in our area. If the teacher needed a student to take the class animal home for the holidays, Hannah always volunteered. The teacher had no issues with giving her this responsibility since Hannah always took great care of them in class. Hannah always asked for a dog growing up. She had many friends who had dogs and she would enjoy going to their houses and playing with them. Once again, when her friends would go on vacation, they would ask Hannah to watch their dog because they knew she would take great care of them. Finally, Hannah was able to get a dog, a rescue dog, Fynn, and she's the best Dog Mom. She provides Fynn with everything he could need from toys, to cookies, to medicine to plenty of activities to keep Fynn in shape. Fynn loves Hannah and is very sad when Hannah is not around. Hannah continues to watch other dogs when their owners need some help. The owners know their pets will be in good hands when they're with Hannah.”

Akash T.

“Akash is a literal life saver. He came on short notice to get water to our chickens during a freeze. Thank you again for your trouble shooting, patience and flexibity!”

Eira Maricela M.
“Eira has the most calming presence with animals. She has watched my anxious 4-year old lab, and he has come to really love and enjoy staying with her for both short and long term stays. Eira is trustworthy, dependable, punctual, and communicative: all things I look for in a dog sitter. She has taken care of my pup in my home and in her home for longer stays, and I am always confident that everything will be okay; in my home, she somehow leaves it better than when I left and shows incredible respect for space while making my dog comfortable in my home. If you choose Eira as your dog sitter, you will not be disappointed.”

Autumn M.
“Autumn is one of the most loving animal lovers! Not only does she adore her own pets but others as well! Whenever I had to go away for work or vacation I’d ask her to watch both my cat and dog and I knew I could leave with so much ease because I knew they’d be in great hands. She would send me pictures and videos just to ease my mind as well. She also seems to be a cat whisper! Usually my cat doesn’t come out for anyone but whenever I ask Autumn to watch her she comes running out! She’d be great for any family looking for assistance.”

Bethany R.
“I have known Bethany for over 15 years and have found her to be one of the most responsible reliable and caring young ladies I have ever come across. I have seen Bethany in action with her own pets and she has always been kind sensitive loving and compassionate in caring for them. I am absolutely certain that she would do the same for any animal under her care.”

David S.
“Dave is the most caring human I know. He is a wonderful dog dad. He and his Service Dog go for 2mile walks most days. We enjoy our puppy play dates!”

Karina B.
“Karina is attentive, compassionate, and loves to connect with animals. She understands common doggie body language cues and dominance hierarchy. She is caring, good-natured, and respectful of others. I would 100% trust her with my pets and home.”

Logan L.
“I’ve known Logan for over 10 years. When I became the Operations Manager at the Ulster County SPCA, Logan stood out as the best employee on our team for many reasons. She is a true team player—kind, compassionate, and genuinely caring toward both people and animals. Logan began her work in animal care and never hesitated to get her hands dirty. Her versatility and dedication allowed her to wear many hats, including taking on management roles. She has overseen the care of both cats and dogs, managed daily routines, monitored medical conditions, and facilitated adoptions. In addition, she played a critical role in training animals, staff, and volunteers alike. Logan is dependable, empathetic, reliable, and honest. She has a warm, calming presence and an incredible personality that puts everyone at ease. She truly has a gift with animals—she recently worked with a difficult, untrained dog belonging to a family member, and in just one session, she was able to get the dog to peacefully coexist with another it had previously tried to attack. I would trust Logan completely—with my animals, my home, and without hesitation.”

Clare J.

Kerhonkson pet parents share their Rover experiences
Barbara is downright awesome. Leaving a pet for the first time is always tough, but Barbara made it as easy as could be. It doesn't hurt that our pooches both absolutely adore her! Beyond that, she was very communicative from the time we first messaged all the way up through the visit and beyond. We had a somewhat last minute family emergency that meant we had to cancel one visit and shift another, and Barbara was very understanding and flexible. Our pups can really be handful together (or by themselves sometimes, if we're being honest), but Barbara followed our instructions for how to play with them without it getting out of hand and by all accounts everyone had a blast. We got lots of wonderful pictures and updates from Barbara of our pups with their happiest faces on, playing with each other and by themselves. As I write this, the morning after coming home, our pooches are happy and playful but rested and not overly insane, just like I'd expect after day of good fun. I (and really, my dogs Tina & Russell) would absolutely recommend giving your dogs the opportunity to hang out with Barbara next time you need to get away.
