“I cannot say enough positive things about Zach. He was gracious and flexible with a last-minute request and time changes. He has the right balance of structure and play, and is clearly passionate about understanding and training dogs. He sent some great pictures throughout the day, and don’t think I’ve ever seen my puppy smile any bigger. I also appreciate the act of the time show me his set up and allow time for communication since this was our first time using day care. Thank you so much, Zach!!”

4. Connally B.

About: I've worked at a combination of vet clinics and doggy daycares for the last 5 years (& counting), and have lived with and cared for dogs and cats (and other farm critters) my whole life. I routinely care for family member's and friend's pets as well. I have the most experience with senior and special needs dogs, so I'm familiar with and comfortable administering various oral and injectable medications, such as heart medication, eye drops, and insulin. While senior pups have a special place in my heart, I will provide just as much care and attention to your puppy or feline friend as well! My goal is to make sure each pet enjoys as much of their stay as possible, until their favorite person comes home again. 💖 I work from home as a self-employed artist (Etsy shop: PeculiarPetalsArt) so my schedule is usually pretty flexible and can fit around your pets' needs. See below to determine the best option for your needs! House-sitting (at your place): If your pet needs extra attention or care, this option is where I intend to be at your residence the majority of the day (~8hrs) and stay the night. I can also bring in packages, water plants, etc as needed. Just ask! Drop-ins (at your place): 30-minute visits to your residence where I stop by to play, feed, clean up, and love on your pet. If your pet needs medications administered at a specific time this can be set at the drop-in time. I can also bring in packages, tend to plants, etc! **Meet-and-greets are preferred for first-time clients prior to house-sitting and drop-ins to allow the pet(s) to meet /smell me and to go over any specifics of the house/pet care as well as confirm contact info. I routinely keep an eye on the temperature/weather to ensure the outside activity level/length is safe for your pet. This is especially necessary when caring for older or brachycephalic breeds. If there are any commands/habits you are working on, let me know so I can help maintain consistency!

5. Debra H.
About: I can't promise your pet(s) won't be spoiled! One level home with a playmate, our 17 yr old Dora, a 15 year old, sweet old aussie shepherd. I am retired and dogs are my passion. I am located in the George's Tavern area of Goochland. I am usually home daily. My schedule is flexible. We have a very large fenced yard. Your dog(s) will have room to explore inside and out. We can discuss any special needs. I have experience with all shapes, sizes and breeds, however, as much as I love them, I cannot handle bigger and stronger breeds; i.e., American bull dogs, pit bulls, great danes and German shepherds to name a few. Your dogs are my daily priority. I can schedule any time daily and I am open to a long-term boarding commitment when I am available. I have an additional smaller fenced area for smaller dogs and puppies. I have customers that found me through other avenues, and have outstanding reviews as I appear to have become Grandma to them. All will provide references. I give lots of time and attention to all dogs giving special loving attention to the aging beauties. They all need lots of love and often need special care.

6. Jenna C.

“Best dog sitter ever! She came and got my beagle, and sent me regular updates of their time together! Jenna is friendly and professional....I highly recommend her....and we'll be using her again.”

7. Kelly S.

“I have been taking my puppy (9 weeks now) to daycare with Kelly for almost two weeks now. She sends me updates if she has a concern and also pictures of how he is doing during the day. Nimbus seems to love her because he knows where to run to as soon as I get him out of the car. She is flexible with timings and is very accommodating with specific requests.”

8. Hayden E.

“Exceptional communication. Has sweet kids that play with the dog. Flexible. Sends lots of pictures. Open to feedback and gives feedback with kindness. Hayden’s place is our pup’s #1 choice. Thank you for being the incredible person you are, Hayden.”

9. Nicky & Bruce L.

“Nicky and Bruce have a wonderful fenced yard in a beautiful country setting; they are very kind and caring and took great care of our sweet puppy. He seemed quite happy and must have been played with the whole time because he slept the entire way home. Definitely would recommend them.”

10. Paula W.

“Paula is amazing! Our pups love spending time with her and her crew!”

11. Denise M.

“Denise was absolutely awesome. One of the best Rover day cares we have experienced. Would definitely recommend her and if in the area would ask her to stay with our dogs again.”

12. Mary B.
“Mary is an outstanding, responsible, and fun pet sitter. She is a true animal lover and a natural caregiver. Mary has much experience with old and special needs pets as well. She would care for your pets as if they were her own. I love working with Mary.”

13. Kyle & Meagan M.

“Kyle and Meagan were absolutely AWESOME! They even got my grumpy guy to have fun. That never happens, never. We are on vacation and it was a great burden lifted to know that there are such great people to leave our dogs with! Thank you guys so much!”
14. Dae'Twan S.
“Daetwan has always had a passion for caring for animals every since he was a young kid. He takes really good care of his pets as if they are human family members. He is also the best uncle to my teenage boys, he teaches them something new and positive every time they hang out with him. Daetwan is one of the most outstanding, respectable men I know.”

15. Toni J.

“This was our first time booking with Toni. It will not be our last! Toni was very responsive to our initial contact and to all the follow-up questions that we had. My husband and I were hoping to find a sitter who provided an "in-the-home" experience for our pup as opposed to a kennel environment. It worked out perfectly. Toni is a great combination of professionalism, experience, and love for animals that set us at ease in taking care of our sometimes fickle girl.”

16. Tamara T.
“Tamara and I worked together at the local SPCA, where I got to see her skills with animals firsthand. Tamara is so very passionate for animals, and always took a special interest in really connecting with the dogs and cats she encountered. She's knowledgeable about how to care for animals, and their physical and mental wellbeing is her number one priority. I would trust her to care for my own animals any day!”

17. Paula C.

“Paula provided just what we needed for our Chihuahua—a safe place to stay while we were in town for lunch. Our venue was not dog friendly, but knowing that our pup was being well cared for put our minds at ease.”

18. Linda V.

“Our sweet Brookie loved her time at Linda's! And we enjoyed the updates she provided while we were out. We highly recommend anyone looking for a caring sitter to choose Linda :)”

19. Jeanette H.
“Jeanette is a loving and caring person. She has experience from puppies to senior dogs. She has fostered puppies and found great homes for the dogs she has fostered. I give her complete trust in caring for my pet, she treats each one equal and with care and love.”

20. Amanda M.
About: I’ve taken care of mine and other people’s pets for over 20 years and have loved every opportunity that comes my way! I have experience with dogs, cats, farm animals and reptiles and am very comfortable with all creatures big and small. I am experienced and am confident in meeting any specific needs for your fur baby. That includes puppies in training to senior dogs in need of medication in whatever form it needs to be given. If I seem like a fit I would love the opportunity to take care of your four legged baby! I currently stay at home and work on my little corner of what I call paradise. I live on a 10 acre farm with lots of room for play time and exercise. I do have a fenced in piece of land or I can walk your pup on a leash. Also your dog can run free if that’s more comfortable. I also have two very friendly dogs of my own that would love a friend! We have lots of land and room to fit your fur babies needs. We are a multi generational family living on a farm so there will be plenty of love to go around. I have a very open schedule and would love to fill it with spending time with your animals!
