commented answer | why doesn't rover require a client to fill out their profile completely before requesting my services? yes, you have to get more information regarding the dog, but not knowing if they are intact, vaccinated, need medical , housebroken ect is all very important information that is for many sitters a make or break scenario. I shouldn't have to ask ALL this questions plus any personal preferences. odd |
asked a question | why doesn't rover require a client to fill out their profile completely before requesting my services? I see this all too often: I get requests for boarding, and the dog parent has not filled out one question of the profile for their dog. I find this un-balanced, as I have to completely create a profile AND get a background check in order to watch someones dog. Not filling out a questionnaire for the dog means I have nothing to go on regarding the health and behavior of an incoming pup. My home not only houses my treasured dog, but at times, other peoples treasured pets. It should be required that all parties prepare for the services requested in a manner that shows your respecting the caregiver AND the visitor. Without the profile completed I have to spend too much time answering requests, and asking questions about the dog, in order to be assured we are a good fit, when I could just read a profile to get preliminary information, then go from there . This can be very time consuming ,and many times, a waste of my time going back and forth. What does rover do to make sure sitters aren't inundated with unprepared clients with empty profiles? |
