I've been a Rover dog sitter for a year now, and someone recently asked me if I have my clients sign a hold harmless agreement. I thought it was great question. There are so many situations that could happen, and I'm curious if I'm vulnerable to law suits if something were to happen (which I do EVERYTHING in my power to avoid). Thanks for any help!

I recently found out that a new pup I have started walking is now in heat. Owners just got her a few weeks ago and she's somewhat skittish to begin with (around some people, and definitely has issues with other dogs). I'm not concerned, necessarily, with the dogs behavior (as I feel that she trusts me and knows me), but I AM concerned with potential issues with other dogs we walk past. For example, today, someone was putting their Rottweiler's leash and collar on outside before their walk, so the dog was free and started heading toward us. I promptly walked away on high alert and said something like "Please keep your dog away". Beyond a yellow ribbon (is it yellow?) around the leash, are there any other tips for staying safe when walking a female dog in heat? They will be getting her spayed as soon as they can. They were not aware this hadn't take place already.
