Has anyone adopted a military dog?
I was wondering how long you had to wait on the wait-list, and what your overall experience of adopting a military dog was. Thank you!

I personally have not gone through the process, but I know all military working dog adoptions go through Save-a-Vet. You might be able to find more info on their website: http://www.save-a-vet.org/d7/adopt

Thanks, Taylor. I think that was the site that I was on and got curious about the wait list. I'd LOVE to adopt a former hero!
I personally have not, but my grandparents did, an Airedale terrier. They had a good experience overall, and I don't think would have changed anything, but since he was trained so rigorously, he definitely exhibited some more aggressive behaviors than had he not been trained as an army pup.
