In the winter the tips of my dog's ears get scabby. Is there anything I can do to treat them?

Or prevent them from getting scabby in the future?

Coconut oil! Rub a little dab of coconut oil in the palms of your hands until it is nice and warm, then massage it into the tips of their ears! Works great on any dry spots, tail, elbows, and pads of their feet! :D

I would also recommend adding some fat to the diet during the winter to combat dryness - a little oil on their dry food, a supplement, or wet food mixed in. If you bathe more than once a month, be sure to use a good moisturizing conditioner.

Possibly a dryness issue. Try adding a skin/coat supplement to the dog's diet, as well as rub the ears with some coconut oil for moisture.

Mushers Secret also works on ears like this. It will help soothe them as well.

Definitely use coconut oil as it is natural and safe for dogs! Trying adding food with Lamb/Rice like Nutro for a great coat
