What would you recommend to help with my clients dog's anxiety this holiday season?

My client asked me my thoughts on dog anti-anxiety medicine, she's decided to try it out, but doesn't know where to start. She asked me my thoughts on two brands, Ventri-Science Composure for Small Dogs and Bach Pet Rescue Remedy. I have several clients that use Bach's rescue remedy. But I myself don't know much about other brands. What works best? This is obviously an opinion based question, but have you tried several brands? What were your results? I think she's decided to go with Homeo Pet Travel Anxiety, but do you have any recommendations? Or information she as the owner and me as the dog sitter NEED to know about any of these products?

Has the client talked to her veterinarian? I'd check with them first before I tried any home remedies or generic supplements at the store.

Agreed with Amber - always talk to your vet before starting any new treatment. Supplements generally have very little research done on them, and so we don't really know how (or if) they work, how they interact with other medications, or even what is considered a safe dose for pets. On the other hand, your vet can prescribe pharmaceutical options that have been heavily researched and found to be effective. Your vet can let you know what they feel would be the safest options and what would be likely to be most effective.
