Favorite Dog foods?

My dog has some soft stool so we are looking for a better type of dog food. Any suggestions or favorites?

I love Organix dog food. It is totally Organic and my doggy's have thrived on it. No GMO foods, no pesticides, chemicals or dyes. Dogs get more complete nutrition and have less waste.

I home cook for both my dogs. I bake leg/quarter chicken in oven until it reaches 185 degrees. When it is done I let it cool down a bit then cut it all into small pieces and de bone them. Then I cook frozen bag of mixed vegetables and mix it all together. I will also switch it up with cooked hamburger. They both love it !!!! Thank-You Darlene Arnold.

Raw is the best. I used to feed my late Shelties homemade food, now my pups are on raw and we are never going back. Their coat is shiny and silky and they are full of energy. Their teeth are clean and their poops are small. However, you have to know what you are doing because it is important that the diet is balanced. By the way, there are a lot of commercially available raw dog foods for sale in the market these days.

Dog Food Advisor publishes an online analysis. http://www.dogfoodadvisor.com/ That said, I've known plenty of dogs eat other dog food not on the list and are in good health.

I agree. http://Dogfoodadvisor.com is a great site. And you can sign up to be notified of product recalls. I used the chart on http://dogfoodadvisor.com to find a good, but fairly low cost kibble. I feed her Pinnacle kibble and a little bit of Darwin's raw.

My beagle gets Authority Grain Free. Authority is Petsmart's store brand and it's fantastic. They've never had a recall that I can find and are well rated on dog food advisor, with the added benefit of a reasonable price tag. We love them so much that after moving and not having a Petsmart around we started ordering it online. Highly recommend. 10 out of 10. :-)

And for temporary help, trying giving your pup a little pumpkin. We do a tablespoon for our 25lb beagle if he has soft stools.

I feed Fromms to my pup. She has a sensitive stomach and this food is wonderful. It's wheat, grain, corn free. You can even switch up flavors. Never had a recall, and is made/bagged in the U.S. I have fed this to my foster pups as well, they do wonderfully on it. Never had any runny stool issues. Depending on where you live, it may be a bit hard to find though.

I personally use Taste of the Wild, but you're going to find a PLETHORA of opinions.

Just do your research, ask your vet what YOUR specific breed needs (i.e. joints, teeth, etc), and you're pup will be just fine. :)
