What are your favorite and least breed(s) or variety of dog and why?

Do you have that one breed you feel is by far the best or type of dog, like retrievers, that you prefer? Are there any dogs that you just can't stand, like toy breeds or a specific breed, that you just don't like? Why or why not?

Any breed mixed with a poodle. Poodles are very smart and hypo-allergenic for the most part. the dogs seem to get the of the poodle qualities.

I love golden retrievers most of the ones im around are very smart and calm.

I love all breeds. But my dream dog is a sheltie(mini collie). The one dog I stay away from are Dalmatians just because I had a Dalmatian mix try to bit my face and he got my hand one day. Plus the dog already had a bad run with bitting people so that didn't help.

I love all Doodles and Border Collies. Border Collies are extremely intelligent and because they are working dogs, they require a lot of exercise and mental stimulation. If I didn't live in a small apartment and had more time, I would have a border collie. Doodles are usually very intelligent and want to please their owners. Their energy levels can be inconsistent. Mine is very mellow. My least favorite breed is the Shiba. They are very stubborn and act more like a cat than a dog.

Growing up I always had larger dogs - German Shepards, American Mastiffs. I adore large dogs that still think they are lap dogs. I would love a golden retriever especially when I have kids because of their loyalty and patience. Now a days, I must admit- I love small dogs. Even the yippy ones! I have a chihuahua whom I adore although she doesn't let anyone come near me haha. I can't really say if I have a least favorite breed. I'm more of an equal opportunist :) as long as they are friendly to me, they are ok in my book

Mixed breeds are good for us & I've heard many vets concur regarding fewer health problems typically with mixed breeds. We've had 2 excellent rescue dogs from no kill shelters and they have overall great health. We've had golden retrievers and they're beautiful dogs but unfortunately later in life often are more prone to tumors. Do your homework and trust you'll find a perfect forever friend!

I generally prefer larger breeds. I grew up with labs and currently have a Siberian Husky. After a lot of research, I found that the husky really matched well with my personality. I love how independent and intelligent they are. They are more challenging when it comes to obedience, but I've never liked taking the easy route.

I'm not particularly fond of small dogs. I've met many that are nice, but could never see myself getting one.

I'm partial to herding dogs and Catahoulas. They're gorgeous, super smart, and very attentive to their people. They learn intuitively and keep you on your toes. I'm lucky that my two herding dogs are also pretty mellow, since I definitely have my PJs and Netflix days.

I'm not a huge fan of a lot of the small breeds, though some of my tinier guests have brought me around to small dogs a little more. If I were to pick a least favorite breed, it would probably be pugs or chis. Pugs are just so ugly (sorry, pug people!) and I've met some pretty mean chis. The buggy eyes on both are just off-putting. :P
