Having a quick response time to clients and adding quality photos will help you get noticed. Having competitive pricing was a good choice and will give you an edge. Sending photos during the stay will also help! Try switching your default photograph to something that catches the eye.
I would offer the following suggestions on your profile. Take out the bit about vet school, you don't need anything negative about you in the profile. Same with taking care of friends and other animal.s. You can ask friends and family that you have pet sat for to give you a testimonial. These, plus reviews, will help you get noticed. I had 2 testimonials from a friend and a family member because I didn't have any professional sitting experience when I started.
Since you do have a cat, that might be a negative for some owners who may have dogs that don't get along with them. Don't hide it, just be aware that this might turn some potential clients away.
It stinks, but I started by lowering my prices. After the first couple customers rated me favorably, I found that I was getting more requests. I also have since gradually increased my prices. I also bought a law sign that I've had great success with.
