The wording isn't quite specific enough on the review e-mails we get post stays. Will owners see the rating we give to their dogs or is it truly for internal use only at Rover??
No, dog owners cannot see your reviews. Only you can see them, and they can be accessed via your Inbox.
In the top right hand corner of your Inbox it says "View past customers." Click there to see a spreadsheet of every client you have had. Click on a name and you will see "Edit your dog notes." This is where your review will come up.
Do other sitters see sitters dog reviews? I think this would be unethical if there is review/rating info about my dog or myself that is accessible to sitters on Rover but that I myself cannot see. I read this on your Q&A.
No. Other sitters do not see the ratings.
Just to play devil's advocate, potential clients can see sitter reviews by past clients, so why then would it be unethical to allow potential sitters to see dog/owner reviews of previous sitters? There IS a place for owners to review sitters. Why is there not a place for sitters to review owners?
Absolutely agree. I just had a really bad experience with an owner (have never had this before) who was extremely condescending in all of her communication with me and then threatened me with a bad review. How is it ethical that she can review me, but I cannot review my experience with her?
