How do I book a sitter to sit for a certain period? Meaning "I am going to an event be at my house at 4:00 pm and stay with my dog until I am home at 10:00 pm" (more like a babysitter that stays the entire time you are gone for an agreed time frame). Sorry if this is a dumb question but I am new to this!
It’s not a dumb question. What you’re describing is a customized arrangement which doesn’t neatly fit into the preset categories of drop in visits or housesitting. If it was for my dog, I would search under house sitter services because that more likely will show sitters who are available around the clock. House sitting rates cover up to 24 hours. Sitters who offer a drop in services may not be willing to work those later evening hours and the drop in rate is based on only 30 minutes. In the message section, I would tell the sitter exactly what I was looking for * and set up a meet and greet prior to booking that date. * For example, if your dog suffers from separation anxiety, tell them I’ll be away and need a sitter who will stay with my dog the entire time between 2 PM to 10 PM.
