Pet owner for a booking for tonight is not replying to messages, should I turn up?

A pet owner messaged me earlier to request a drop in. We exchanged messages a few times and then I accepted the request. After that I messaged them to ask how I would access the place and I've heard nothing back. I've sent a few messages since. It's about an hour until I'm due. The house is only a short walk away. Do I go to the house and knock or see if they reply? It's not far for me to go, but I'm thinking it could be kind of awkward if I just turn up at their house and they have changed their mind or something has happened. Any suggestions?

Not sure what I would do either but thanks for reminding me not to accept a request until I have all the info I need to do the job (I have forgotten to ask about access, emergency contact, etc. in the past but lucked out I haven't caught empty-handed).

If you accepted the request, and the owner paid, the booking is booked, you need to access the notes the owner provided to read all the info they left for you. It should mention where they left the key and all the other instructions. It happens the owner was in a hurry and now is unable to answer. Since you say it's booked, just go and do your job :)

It would be a different situation if you only exchanged messages, agreed on a visit but owner did NOT confirm and didn't pay. Since they booked it, you have to access the info in your profile.

Hey guys. Just to close this topic it seems her messages were not getting through on the app. Maybe she is on holiday. I wouldn't have been able to gain access as the house was locked. Luckily she did come through about an hour later and messaged me details about the key and how to get in. So all sorted in the end.

But yep, as Laura suggests, in future I will not accept a booking until I have all the info required for access etc.

I don't think anyone would share their private info and key code with you before booking with you.
