"Contact sitter" vs. "Book sitter"?

I'm exploring new sitters for my dog. I don't want to book/commit to a sitter before I make sure they're a good fit.

If I send the "Contact sitter" info, am I also booking them? If so, can I contact to ask questions before booking?

Thank you.

Yes, the platform can be confusing at first. Rest assured that there are actually two steps to booking a sitter -requiring you to click book it now, the sitter to accept and click booking and then you clicking book it again/a second time. If you accidentally went through that process and realized it right away you could contact rover, who can reverse the charge in a couple business days.

In the beginning, it’s recommended that you contact the sitter. You may want to contact a few sitters. Ask questions. Schedule a meet and greet if possible. Ask more questions to help ensure you found the right match. Afterwards, you both click to book it.
