How long does it take to get the Rover ID tag as part of the Rover Protection Package?

I joined Rover in late July & had our first boarder in August. I signed up for Rover’s Premium Insurance for $50, and really want the ID tag sent to me as part of the Rover Protection Package. How long does it take to get the Rover ID tag delivered? Do you wait until the money has been paid after the first visit to mail it to me? Please advise. ~Susan BG

I got my tag about a month AFTER I ordered it - which was sort of long. While the tag they provide works great, it requires calling another company before calling you. What I have elected to do instead is get my own personalized dog tags that say "I'm visiting Daniela!" with my phone number in the back. I find it helpful if I should ever have a guest get lost (which hasn't happened yet --- knock on wood!), that instead of calling the Rover number on the back, they can just call me!

I think I remember getting mine about 10 days after I got my first long stay and the payment was deducted.

If you are interested in a tracker for your dog there's a product called TrackR Bravo that is I am thinking about purchasing myself.

TrackR Bravo can be used to keep track of anything and is used with a phone application. One of the references you can set it up for is so if you step away from the tracker your phone will notify you. There's a great video that shows you all the benefits, you can find it just by looking up TrackR Bravo in Youtube. Its fairly inexpensive.

Thank you both for replying. It has been more than 10 days. So far, most of my work has been at the client's homes, but I have another in my home sitting coming up soon. If the tag doesn't come this week, I'm going to go buy some tags like mentioned, just in case!

Since I still have not received the tags from Rover, I am going to have some printed up at Petsmart or somewhere. "Help, I'm lost! Please call my dogsitter at xxx-xxx-xxxx"

Update! I got the tag in the mail from Rover! Yay! It is only one tag, though. Before I have dogs stay in my house again, I think I'll have the visiting tags made up as a back up.

Interesting the card says order more they are free. They aren't. I agree with you smart sitters above the more Rover stays out of my business the better.
