Why did I get paid less than I was supposed to?

When I booked my last stay, I believe I was supposed to get paid $60 for it. That is, what it said at the top of the screen. When I got paid however, I only received $51.

Hey Amber, what you're seeing is Rover taking out it's standard 15% fee for all sitters. 15% of a $60 stay would be $9, leaving you with $51.

Just as Amber wrote above, the difference is Rover's fee. If you click on the Payment link, underneath your Rover balance, you will see your detailed payment history, which shows the amount for the stay and Rover's fee. That is the same place you go to withdraw funds from your Rover balance unless you have set up an automatic withdrawal.

I also was wondering why I was getting paid less. I understood about the fee but how do I go from close to earning $200 and only getting $60.

Skylar, this is a very old posting. Either start a new question or call Rover Customer Support so they can answer ([Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed. Visit the Rover Help Center at https://support.rover.com/ to find the phone number, help articles, or chat with the team]). Rover doesn't take $140 from a $200 sitting job. Have them explain it to you.

There is a rover fee, that will be different depending on your insurance rate, as well as if you make a donation with your paycheck. I have 20% of my fee deducted, by the time the money gets to my account

15% Rover Fee. Wouldn't it be nice if pet owners tipped through Rover to help make up for the 15% fee? :) UBER has a tip system for their drivers...

Kim, as an Uber driver I can assure you that they do not have a tip "system" . Riders can tip a driver, but even then Uber has instructed drivers to tell riders that the tip is calculated into their fare and a tip is not required. If a rider still wants to tip, we can accept the tip.
