Rover added tipping?

I just saw a post where a pet owner asked about the percentage allowed for tips on Rover. I didn't know Rover added tipping. Is it when the person pays upfront that they would fill in a tip? They wouldn't actually know at that point if they wanted to tip. Also, does Rover take 20% of the tip, as they do the on the rates charged?

You receive all of the client tip, Rover takes none of that. I think the client receives a notification to review and/or tip the sitter after the booking is completed. It's a nice option, but I think some clients don't leave a review because they think they have to also tip.

I agree with Crysta, It's a nice option, but I think some clients don't leave a review due to tip request also. I request a review via Rover from the clients ( esp. if I know they liked the service I gave). I also give them the option to tip. I am very transparent about what I charge and what Rover takes (20%)- a lot of clients are surprised by this amount so I do not think Rover is transparent on the booking end).

How do you tell if you got a a tip? Is it just added into the payout? Or is separate so you know?
