What do I do if the owner didn't pick up their dog?

This is a purely hypothetical question, and hopefully has never happened to any Rover sitter. It hasn't happened to me, but I want to know what to do if it does. I'm talking about the owner dropped off the dog(s) on time, but hasn't communicated at all to the sitter throughout the stay. The date and time of the pick up has come and gone and still no communication from the owner. I want to know what to do, since I'm not comfortable keeping a dog I wasn't planning to and I really don't want to take it to the shelter (even though I volunteer at a no-kill shelter that might take the dog(s)). Do I contact Rover sitter support and do what they tell me? Has ANYONE as a sitter been in this situation?
