How to take care of my puppy when I live 1 hour away from her and also have to deal with uni?

Hi, I just wanted to ask what is the best way I can take care of my german shepherd puppy? We have a farm that is 1 hour away from our house and we just bought a puppy. Is it ok that I visit him 3 maybe 4 times a week? How much time should i give him?

My personal opinion is No. If he is your German Shepard puppy why can you not take him home with you? Who is going to be taking care of him? Who is going to be training him? Feeding him? Socializing him? I am a big believe that pets should be part of the family. Not to be mean but why did you get a puppy if you did not have time for him?

What kind of question is this....can you clarify your situation better? From the looks of it you got a dog, thats left on a farm, and you live an hour away and want to go visit it?.....what???

It will be best for the puppy if his "main person" (who feeds him, exercises him, and trains him) is someone who lives with him on the farm. If this person isn't familiar with training needed to help a puppy properly develop socially (ie to become a friendly, confident, non-biting, well balanced, and stable adult dog) I suggest they purchase some books to help them get started. Here is a FREE one available online that is a great resource https://www.dogstardaily.com/files/downloads/AFTER (https://www.dogstardaily.com/files/down…)YouGetYourPuppy.pdf

As for yourself, read the book to learn a bit about dogs at that age, and when you are home with him you can play with him, walk him, spend time with him so he can develop a bond with you as well.
