Worried about pets during this pandemic. What should we do?

I came to know that a 7-year-old German shepherd from New York, was the first dog to test positive for the COVID-19 in the United States. Sadly, he died on July 11th after 3 months of illness. Now, I am worried about how we can keep our pets safe?

There is nothing to worry about because according to CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), pets aren’t vulnerable to COVID-19, but it's advisable to visit a vet immediately if you observe any COVID symptoms in your pet. Also, there are some things you need to consider before visiting a vet. I am sharing a https://blog.greatvet.com/know-before-going-to-veterinarian-during-covid/ (blog that I found to be helpful) - it sheds light on all the precautions you need to take when visiting a vet, sanitizing their collars and leashes, leveraging a drop-off vet service, etc, are some of them.
