Hey, dogs can eat leaves for so many different reasons. pica is one of them. In many cases pica is simply a cause of boredom. Another reason why your dog eat leaves, might be due to the fact that they’re lacking fiber on their system. This doesn’t mean your dogs doesn’t eat enough.

I'm not sure about leaves, but I know that dogs sometimes eat grass if they have an upset stomach. They may also do this to improve their digestion or fulfill an unmet nutritional need, such as the need for fiber. Dogs also may just do this simply out of boredom. As long as it doesn't cause stomach issues or vomiting, it shouldn't be a major issue unless there's pesticides or chemicals on the leaves/grass. I would keep an eye on it though just incase!
