How do I change varying number of dog walks each day?

Hi, I've been a dog walker for many years but am new to the Rover community. I've been in touch with an owner (meet and greet tomorrow) and the days that they put in are incorrect. They put in 2 walks each day, Saturday and Sunday, but actually need 1 walk Friday, 2 Saturday and 1 Sunday. I see I can edit the walks per day, but it looks like if I change the number, that affects every day and not a specific day. The number of walks (4) will be the same, but I'd like to correct the inaccurate info. This is pre-booking and the owner hasn't seen a way to edit it themselves, but are also new to using Rover. Thanks in advance. I searched but couldn't find this particular question.

Rover needs to fix this, and make the editing the number of daily visits more user friendly. I have the same issue with some clients. One client knows how to do it, but numerous other clients don't. I have to 'adjust' the price to accommodate less visits when they have two or three on all days, but only want one on the first and last day of the booking. It takes up walks or visits on your calendar when they really aren't being used. I realize in your case that the $$ is accurate, but just adding my frustration.

Hi Barbara, I just got off the phone with support and they said that once it's booked, I will be able to edit the walks per days. I don't know if your experience is different but from what they said, it's the sitter that has the ability to do this, and not the owner.

The sitter can adjust it AFTER it’s booked, however that usually means a change in cost- so either your client is getting a refund (and has to wait for it to process) or they get charged a second time for the same booking.

Sometimes it’s easier to split it into separate bookings. One booking for the days they need 1 visit, a separate booking for days they need 2. Especially if the client is new to Rover, I hate to say “I’ll fix it after you pay”.

I’ve also found that if a client sends the initial booking with different numbers of visits per day, sometimes it will work- but only if I don’t check or modify the cost. If I even open details to make sure the pricing is correct, it reverts back to the same number of visits each day & cannot be changed.

I’ve been a sitter on Rover for 3 1/2 years & they still have not fixed this.

Thank you. In this case, it was the same number of visits, only spread out on different days, so it all worked out without any change in cost.

Honestly if the pricing is the exact same, I never bother the client about it. Too confusing for them. And Rover doesn't care what days you do service as long as its completed. For example you will always get the prompt that you're ending the walk early. Guess what. It doesn't matter. You'll still get paid.
