flying with nervous dog what to do ?

Hi My Name is Tony, and I'm planning to fly from croatia to Africa with my 4 yrs old mix dalmatian. She never flu before and she need to go to cargo hold, What can I give her to calm down? We in Croatia dont have especially dog calming medicine, so i'm thinking to give her a Valium Do you have some better solution? Thank U

I'd suggest that your vet would be the best person to advise you about medication and amounts.

I concur with the other posted answer. Do not self-prescribe meds for your dog. VERY important to get a Veterinarian's professional advice and Rx for the most appropriate type and dosing of medications.

Also, Croatia to Africa is a long flight. I don't recommend your pet fly in cargo. Ask the airline if there is more suitable option. Please be thorough and don't take anything for granted. ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿถ Good luck!
