What can I put on a dogs rash to stop the scratching?
I am watching a Basset/Beagle/Dachsund mix that is 12 yrs old. He has developed a rash on his tummy. To keep him from scratching it too much I put a mixture of half water and half Apple Cider Vinegar on it. This seems to relieve the itching for awhile but I have to keep putting it on him. I am watching he doesn't create sores. So far it is just mostly a pinkish area. Wondering if I can use an itch powder like Johnson's Baby Powder or how about Gold Bond Anti-Itch Lotion? Suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!
