does the owner bring the food?
I was wondering if the owner brings the food when the dog is staying over for the night or do I being the sitter have the food?

Yes, definitely. The owner must provide all food and meds. In my case, some also bring treats, although I do keep those on hand. It is far better for the dog to eat its own food for many reasons. Just provide the client with a list of what they need to bring (both required and optional).
The norm is for the dog owner to bring the food unless you make a different agreement.
