What to charge for Dog Walking 3x per day?

I have been a Rover sitter for a while now and have completed many stays, however, I just got my first dog walking request. The request was sent by a lady for her elderly aunt who has MS. She requested that I walk her aunt's dog three times a day at a reasonable price. Since I have never walked a dog before I was wondering what I should offer to charge her. I would really appreciate anyone's input! Thank you!!

It sounds like this is going to be a long term commitment. Don’t lower your rate. 3x a day is inconvenient, as you will have to plan everything else around them, and they are aware of that. I am well established though, so it allows me to be more picky about the requests I accept.

I have no issue with giving discounts, but when I get clients who try to talk me well under my listed rate, I politely let them know that I have to consider the fact that it a spot taken away from someone who would be willing to pay my full rate.

I see you have set your walk rate at $10 which is extremely low for most wakers, but it may be a good price for you and this client who needs you 3 times a day. Best of luck

I charge $20/walk no matter how many times I am walking that dog a day. If I were to discount, that would take away the income that I was expecting to earn for the amount of work scheduled and I would have to take on more than I can handle to make it back.
