Possible scammer, has anyone else received a similar request?

I’m not sure if this is a scammer but I received a request from someone who has not moved to my city yet but requests movers deliver her dog to me at her new apt. Weird and her request has a lot of information on the details of her job (Non Government Organization on a program on children with orphans and heart related prob…) She also includes her age, she is single and wants me to respond to her personal email. I sent a brief response via Rover but not her email address, wondering if anyone else has received a similar message…feels like a scam to get my personal email address. She has not responded to my latest message so far.

I had something similar happen. They wanted to email details which, I understand so I’d have them, but in that the language usage and the name in email were weird. I googled the name and it doesn’t exist. Keep saying they are moving in so many days and we’re flagged by Rover

I had this exact same message today. She wanted me to contact goldenpen or something similar. She also included an address in the city that that had obviously just Googled. I also gave a quick response, but ultimately reported them. I haven't gotten a reply either! Good instincts.

I got the same thing today. A guy with 3 kids who’s also Deaf moving from another state. Wanted to pay me 30 an hour. Ughhh!!

Mine came through as a "we know this doesn't fit your availability but thought you might be interested anyway" message by email from http://Rover.com. Doesn't show on the website unless I click on the link in the original email.

TOTAL CHAOS....I was dumb enough and fell right into that scam the guy was good he told me he was deaf so he does slot of texting needless to say my brand new BBVA account I opened for this new job I was hired for is being negotiated on whetherto allow me to keep open or charge off fraud check

I got this exact scam message today (July) so I just wanted to comment to let others know this is still going on!

You did the right thing. Anytime a contact wants you to respond off-Rover, coupled with bizarre circumstances, it is probably a scammer. You should also refer it to Rover, which will investigate and/or delete the account.

I literally just had the same person try to get me!! They had the same message and everything! 'She' was an older woman wanting help so she could go on her dream vacation to Turkey. Hasn't moved to my City yet but was going to have movers bring her stuff and dog over. Totally weird and suspicious and I quickly came up with an excuse to deny her request! Phew! It seems like Rover should have more hoops to jump through if you want services through them.

Hiya! I’m pretty sure I got the same request as you. Beagle and the lady was going to Turkey? I sent a message back through Rover (not to the email) saying that I require a meet and greet before every booking and since that isn’t possible I wouldn’t be able to help.

I mean... even if it wasn’t a scam what am I gonna do? Sit in the apartment for days surrounded by boxes?
